Gatwick Airport

Gatwick airport is a major world transport hub and is in fact the 7th busiest airport in the world and the second busiest British airport, moving over 32 million visitors through its two huge terminals during 2007.

The airport has a selection of shopping facilities to rival any shopping mall in the UK with many well-known high street brands offering their wares at outlets spread throughout the departure lounge and also through security.

The airport offers several lounges spread throughout the terminals including the Aviance Executive Lounge, which offers food and beverages as well as Internet connection, photocopier, fax and other business facilities. The Lingfield Lounge is located through security on the upper level and offers Wi-Fi and Internet access, business facilities television and newspapers and magazines.

There are large numbers of places to sit and eat or enjoy a hot and cold beverages these include, EAT which offers home-made style British food. Garfunkel's US and English fayre, Joes Kitchen for English breakfast and McDonald's.

Marks and Spencer have a Simply Food outlet, and Starbucks offer their range of coffee. If you're looking for something a little stronger you can try Lloyds bar or Witherspoon's Red Lion pub.

There are two terminals at Gatwick airport the South terminal address is RH6 0NP and the North terminal postcode is RH6 0PJ. The airport is located just under 30 miles south of the city of London and is reached by junction 9 of the M 23. Alternatively, it can be approached by taking the London to Brighton A23 road. From the M25 the airport is 10 minutes from junction 7.
