London Luton Airport

The capital's "other" airport is London Luton Airport located just over 30 miles from central London is the starting point for nearly 10,000,000 passengers per year making it the fifth busiest airport in the country. The airport is the official home for several well-known airlines including Ryanair and EasyJet and Monarch airlines.

There are plenty of shopping opportunities at the airport including Best of the Best Supercars, Boots, Cotton Traders, Dixons Tax Free, GameGrid, Impulse, JD Sports, Kurt Geiger, Marks & Spencer Simply Food and WHSmiths

There are a couple of lounges available from around £18 per stay including the Aviance lounge which offers free soft and alcoholic drinks and snacks, showers and televisions as well as Wi-Fi and phone services. The Lounge is located in the departure area shopping mall on the second floor.

Luton airport offers a very wide range of food and beverage vendors including Burger King, Bar Des Voyageurs, Yam Yam to Go, Food Village, Est Bar, Krispy Kreme, Starbucks and many more both before and after security.

The airport is located with the satellite navigation position of LU2 9LY. The airport is just 5 miles from the M1 at junction 10. Travelling from the M25 the airport is reached from junction 21 onto the M1 northbound then junction 10. From the East Luton airport is reached from the A1 and the A505 following the signs.

Short term airport car parking has rather limited short stay facilities available. Luton airport parking for long term use is also slightly restrictive in number of available spaces.

A huge number of destinations are available from Luton airport to regional airports around the country and dozens of European destinations such as Faro, Grenoble Bordeaux, Budapest, Larnaca, Mahon, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, and Monastir.

There are a large number of hotels in the area including the Chiltern, the Days Inn, Hanover, Menzies, Ramada, Royal hotel, Undercover, Thistle and Travelodge.
