Newcastle International Airport

Newcastle airport is only 6 miles to the north of the city centre and is in the top 10 busiest airports in the country. This is a smaller airport with a relatively low number of destinations which serves Tyneside, County Durham, to a lesser extent Wearside and Teeside.

Newcastle Airport offers a surprisingly wide selection of food and drinks outlets spread throughout the public and secured lounges. Costa Coffee, Burger King, the Food Court, Greggs bakery as well as Café Pronto and a couple of licensed bars.

If you are using satellite navigation the code to type in is NE13 8BZ. When travelling from the North follow the A697 or the A1 until it runs into the A1 south then take the A696 junction bearing right onto the A1 Newcastle bypass which will take you directly to the airport.

From the South use the A1 and so you reach the A696 than their onto the A1 Newcastle bypass and follow it to the airport, Newcastle International airport car parking facilities for short-term use is limited. Newcastle airport parking facilities for long-term use has a reasonable number of parking spaces available.

Destinations available from the airports include many regional airports spread throughout the UK as well as a large number of European and other destinations including. Naples, Nice, Geneva, Orlando Florida, Hanover, Amsterdam, Kalamata and Preveza.
