Stansted Airport

Stansted Airport is located 30 miles to the north of London at Bishop's Stortford in the county of Essex and each year caters to around 25 million passengers. Before security there is a wide selection of shops including Accessorize, Boots, Borders, Clarks, Coral bookmakers, Impulse, La Senza, Monsoon and WHSmith.

After security there are many other shopping opportunities including Best of the Best Supercars, The Body Shop, Boots, Chocolates, Dixons - Tax Free, Goldsmiths and HMV

The airport has a couple of dozen food and drink outlets including Est Est Est, Pret a Manger, Frankie and Bennys, Costa Coffee, Burger King and Millies Cookies as well as bars offering alcoholic beverages and snacks.

Stansted is located adjoining the M 11 motorway. From the North leave the M11 at Junction 8, from the South exit the M25 at Junction 27, this will take you to the M11 north again take Junction 8.

The airport can also be approached from the east along the A120 or the A12, from West the A120 will take you to the M11 roundabout where you select Thermhall Avenue leading directly to the airport. For satellite navigation equipment the code required is CM24 1RW.

Stansted airport parking offers plentiful short-term spaces for visitors to use. Stansted airport car parking for long term use is plentiful but can easily become all at busy periods.

This airport supports flights to many dozens of cities around the world including Graz, Gothenburg, Porto, Jersey, New York (JFK), Athens, Shannon, Tenerife Sur and Tel Aviv.

There are large numbers of hotels adjacent to the airport or within easy reach including Express by Holiday Inn Stansted, Down Hall Country House Hotel, Radisson SAS Hotel Stansted, and the Stansted Hilton.
